Description
Fine art print created from the original watercolour painting, The Old Man of Stoer. One of the most iconic sea stacks in Scotland and very popular with climbers. The stack is formed of the Bay of Stoer Formation, part of the Torridonian Sandstones, laid down in a huge braided river system as red cross bedded pebbly sandstones. This painting is built on memories of the time I completed my geology mapping dissertation nearby at Achmelvich.
