I’m so happy to announce my A3 wall calendar for 2025! A Year in a Geologist’s Sketchbook, rocks from Scotland and further afield.
This calendar features twelve original sketchbook paintings and their views, painted on location while out climbing or on geology fieldtrips over the past year. Locations are mainly across Scotland to Aberdeenshire, Loch Ossian, Assynt, Skye, the Small Isles and more! Plus a few trips further afield to the Lake District, Sardinia and the French Alps. Rocks include sandstones, granites, schists, volcanics, lavas and carbonates! For each month there is a description of the local geology and then an explanation in a wider complex, enjoyable and accessible for all.
